Donations

Wonderful donation of picture books – huge thanks to Helen Redding and her friend Claire Qualtrough. These books will go to help some of the schools who have joined The Little English Library project and who are currently setting up their own English libraries & reading corners. By now we have 12 Basisschools who have joined and of course, there is Pernille who runs the Little English Town Library Utrechtse Heuvelrug and supports 6 local Primary schools. So please, keep book donations coming, books really go to a good new home. Thanks

English Children´s Books: What to do?

A few weeks ago, I gave a workshop at a regional event organised by Pabo Avans Hogeschool for Dutch Primary teachers. My workshop was on the Value / Use on English children´s Literature in the Young EFL classroom – it was very practical, with lots of examples and so I thought I would share two slides … perhaps of interest to teachers working with English children´s literature or who would like to start. There is so much that can be done with a book, so much more than ´just´ reading it. So click on the image to view my two slides.
