First books have arrived…in Ghana.

I just received these wonderful photos. One of the pabo / primary student teachers at Avans Hogeschool is now teaching English in Ghana. She arrived with the English children´s books we donated (see previous post / article by Punt Avans ). How wonderful to see these books in the children´s hands – it´s where they belong. Big thank you to the American Book Center.

Books in the pictures I think are: One Two Cockatoo by Sarah GarsonAndersen Press and That´s Not Funny by Jeanne Willis & Adrian Reynolds Illustrator

Great article in Punt on students taking the minor Teaching English Abroad. I was invited to run a workshop for them on the Use of English children´s literature and together with Lynn from The American Book Center and Mandy Hattink from Oxford University Press ELT, we donated children´s books and teaching course books.

School & Town Libraries

After two years, The Little English Library and its many initiatives has turned into a project bigger than the initial school library. So today I am presenting two new logos to house everything that is going on. One is for The Little English School Library such as our first one at the Montessori + Breda. The second one is for a new concept: The Little English Town Library. The town-library pilot will start soon in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. It will offer SWAP 20 to local primary schools, toddler mornings and perhaps a young reader book club. Any questions, do get in touch and check this page.
