It’s the National Voorleesdagen 2015 in the Netherlands and many Dutch schools are asking parents to come in and read to the children. And of course, I joined in and it was such good fun. I visited two Kleuter (Reception) classes this morning and performed an English Dutch Bear Hunt. I read and acted it out in English, the class teacher did it parallel in Dutch. And yes, Squelch is not the same in Dutch. It was super, a few more performances scheduled for next week and I can’t wait!
